This is the deepest team ever for the Roos. The returning starters and newcomers are the reason the Roos are picked to win the Summit League! This is just a guess knowing Coach likes to play the older and most experienced players.
Brown all league and MVP of the conference Faas- his outside shooting is top notch and he improved his defense and rebounding towards the end of the season Petty- should be a 2nd team all conference player Kopp- 6 years of experience and can shoot and score the ball, good team leader Big Melvyn- good rebounding and physical player, should be a better offensive player this year
Diallo- I would start him over Kopp because he is such a good defensive player and can guard 1-4 Ijeh- will fill in for Melvyn, great shot blocker and very athletic, will probably play more minutes a game than Melvyn Hall- will play the point, top 100 Juco guy gob- athletic player who plays like Petty on his videos, a scoring guard Grady- tough guy who can drive to the basket, will take some of Faas minutes at forward position
Coach has lots of good players to choose from game to game! Any thoughts?

hall as PG Petty 2 Faas stretch 4 Jamar 3 Ijeh most minutes... Melvyn cermonial starter
Kopp subs Faas so we don't have 2 bad defenders on floor Baba guards whoever is hot Kasheem will get many minutes Gob is backup PG
Wildcard is RING ... could be too skinny but also could be all conference depending on his mental toughness.

I mean... speculation is fun, but we really just don't know, do we?
Every year I dream and I plan based on previous seasons' performance and JuCo stats, and then I wander into Swinney and there's some guy I didn't even know was on the roster starting at the 3 and two of last year's starters are the 11 and 12.
Marv will Marv and we shall see what we shall see.

Listen to Coach Menzies interview at the Summit League media day. He started off the interview saying the Roos were one of 5 teams in all of D1 to return their starting 5 players. He then said that they return six since Kopp is healthy and started prior to his injury. The surprises will be who on the bench steps up to earn minutes. The starter are set. It is a good interview!

Starting Baba over Davontae will be ceremonial even though I love Baba... he is a target defender...Hope we free him from the mental offensive labor of PG so he can just shut brothers down all year.
