Although Sacramento State is favored to win, this is one that we need to take; their only D1 win came against UC Davis. With that being said, what leaves me hesitant is that our advantage so far this season has come on the glass and they pretty much match us for rebounds per game. Should be a good one!

Roos down four early on. Difference so far is that SSU is getting points off their second-chance offensive rebounds; we have missed the few we’ve gotten so far.

Very poor shooting night for the Roos thus far, Faas included. Shot selections are just not good. Roos trail 25-17 with under five to go.

Sac State up 33-26 at half. Roos able to cut into the lead a little, but they’re still ice cold at the moment. Need to pull a 180 to get back into this one.

#3 for Sac State Akol Mawein is just out muscling all of our bigs. Yeah, they have a set of big men who’ve been going to work against us tonight. We keep taking two steps forward, one step back… cut the lead down to two but a mix of bad shots and defensive breakdowns has made it 45-37 Hornets.

Bad loss.;This was a very winnable game against a bad team on the road. The Roos missed too many bunny shots in the paint and the defense is soft when teams drive to the hoop. Brown and Faas need guys to step their games up if they are going to win Summit League games!

Brown and Faas need guys to step their games up if they are going to win Summit League games! I have no idea how to assess this team at the moment. This is likely our worst loss of the season against a bad team, meaning we’re also a bad team. At the same time, we just ran Oral Roberts off the floor at Swinney last weekend. Either ORU is really down this year or we’re an extremely shaky team. I guess we’ll see soon enough.
