I am calling for a preseason report from 28. Expectations with roster, any surprises, what to expect this year, are we ready to compete with SDSU and Oral Roberts for a title? 🙂

Well... this is the time of year where I am feeling 39-0 I have not done diligence on the other teams. PG. We will be a million miles better here with the exception of getting to the rim... Shemarri was a unique talent at that... but not for sure a point guard priority. Probably a wash here with the defense as we have much depth with 4 guys that can play the spot including Cole Glasgow who has gotten better... We have 2 graduate students in the spot and 2 freshmen... The kid from Ecorse MI may be an ace in the hole since he seems very talented... Dont wanna get too excited because if he is great, then he might not stay... so... Upgrade in offense and push on defense.. whe do have 2 5thyear seniors in the spot that have played a lot... where we want the experience... look for more integration of the rest of the team. shooting guard. Jamar and BaBa... Baba is just a beast defender while Jamar scores and rebounds from any spot...The freshman from Phoenix should be red shirted. big improvement rebounding... defense down a touch, offense way improved. Small forward... Anderson Kopp... very good all around player.. takes charges on defense .. very smart and team oriented... outstanding shooter. Backed up by Tyler andrews. Much better shooting and passing. Defense probably OK. Rebounding down a touch. Power forward. Cameron Faas. Ridiculous shooter...stronger than he looks and a willing rebounder. Did I say ridiculous shooter... well he is. He will be backed up by Allen as his health improves.... great inside scorer if he gets the ball at the right time. Post This is by far the biggest improvement Jeff is better and he had a solid year... look for him to get better. Now by far the biggest improvement is Melvyn over Sidy and we dont have to play Jevin in the post... and then Allen playing the post... better defense, offense, rebounding. Melvyn is very strong in his body position and fundamentals... and Allen presents a mismatch speed, shooting etc. The redshirts should be the freshman from Phoenix, Jevin, and Precious with Promise being the 4 and 5 injury insurance Jevin provided heart and soul last year as a 4 and 5 man... he is such a worker... let him have a year to drop 15 lbs and refine his shot... then become a power 3-4 instead of 4-5 The twins need to grow into their man bodies Since we have 4 point guards, we have much flexibility
