1st half sucked.. first 4 minutes of second half shaved 10 off the lead... but not enough gas, not enough will, not enough savvy, and not enough toughness to come through. This last month has been tough on me with the hopes so high and the injuries at the worst possible place.... Marvin said in his post game... God has you in the place you are supposed to be... we may want to be in a different place but we are in the place we need to be. I know everybody loves everybody but there are some guys I hope don't return.... or we start a JV team... Most under appreciated Freshman.... Jeff Ngandu... clearly the best freshman post player we have ever had... a warrior doing a tough job.

Definitely a disappointing season, but I still have hope. Coach Menzies is a proven winner and we showed flashes of brilliance this season. He knows what it takes to take a team to the NCAA tourney. At times I wondered if Coach Menzies didn't look at this season as a prolonged practice instead of trying to win. Not that I think he wanted to intentionally lose but more like let's get these young guys some practice and experience so that next season we can really start playing.
I just hope we can keep our high potential and good players from transferring.
I'm looking forward to seeing how we do next season. I'm also looking forward to the fact that I'll be retiring right around the time the season starts. I don't want to be wishing my life away but I'm really looking forward to this November.

Personally, I don’t get his gripes. In my opinion, the WCC isn’t a good example because they’re a multi-bid league that changed their conference tournament in order to maximize the number of teams that make the NCAA Tournament. The Summit League is a single-bid league no matter who wins it, and we follow the same format that most ten-team conferences have. The only argument I think can be made for his triple bye proposal is that the top seeds should be given as much special treatment as possible because they have the best chance at winning tournament games and bringing additional revenue to the league. Still, I’m not a huge fan of it. As for his idea about playing games at home courts, that just sounds like sour grapes from the Tulsa school having to play in Sioux Falls. Personally, I’ve come to embrace the tournament being played up there. It looks like they put on a great show and the Summit League has some of the best attendance figures of any mid major conference. After I graduate this spring and my brother enrolls into UMKC next year, we plan on making the trip up to watch the Roos play.

They don't allow a shootaround here at the arena.... teams have to find another location... so when the play in game happens the winner has played on those rims for a game and the higher seeded team has yet to be allowed on the floor. I asked the NDSU (women's team we beat) coach if that made a difference at the beginning of the game and he said yes for sure.
