Xavier Rhodes 6’1 guard from Florida Southern/ Northwest Missouri State, enters the portal with 1 year of eligibility left. He averaged 15 points a game this season and has 731 career points. He won a D2 National Championship at NWMS his freshman season before transferring to Florida Southern. He played high school basketball at Rockhurst, which I watched him play several times. Good point guard who can score and take care of the ball. The Roos contacted him yesterday along with 4 other D1 schools!

He won a D2 National Championship at NWMS his freshman season before transferring to Florida Southern. His team won a championship. Mr. Rhodes saw very limited time that year, and averaged less than 3 ppg. Nonetheless, I could see him walking on for the Roos. |

I trust Coach Donlon and his player evaluation. If he thinks Rhodes can play at the D1 level and be productive I sure he will. Franck and Pitts both made the jump from D2. They were productive players, but neither could shoot from the 3 point line. Coach will not bring in a grad transfer to sit the bench. The Roos have a need for a couple guards for next season.
