The Jackrabbits are 17-0 in conference, following an overtime win over Oral Roberts. Time to shake things up.

Luke Appel had 41 pts, 10 reb in that ORU game. Do we have an answer?

Great defense and hot 3 point shooting! The Roos must force around 20 turnovers and keep Gilyard out of foul trouble. Gilyard must score around 25 points and get around 15 points a piece from Lamar, Josiah, and Nesbitt. The rebounding must be even. The Jacks are really good on offense!

This is the biggest regular season game since Oral Roberts in 2005! We are playing with such confidence and swagger. Let’s find out where we stand against the best team, and the path we will have to get to the summer league championship game! Arkel Lamar really brings something different to this team that is a unique advantage. He played a major part of UMBC’s role as a giant killer against Virginia in the tournament. Gilyard plays like he has done the same thing just with his mindset. Our entire team mentality has gone to the next level! That gives us an edge!

I watched the replay of the game. The Roos were very competitive, but SDSU hit some big shots to pull away. We will need to have a better night with our 3 point percentage. Baylor Scheierman is very impressive for SDSU!
A tough game against South Dakota coming up in the first round. We absolutely cannot take our foot off the gas, or be looking past them.

From Ground level at the game... our post players in the first half were finishing at least a foot above the SDSU shot blockers...yet we acted as if we were shooting against Mutumbo. Just calm down. Also, the stage was way too big for Josiah in the first half as he was too amped up and made several mental mistakes. Kept track of calls ( we know that on the weekend, the summit league gets high school level officials) The dark haired guy called ticky tack fouls and the bald black guy, not the older white bald guy.... he was a let them play guy. That just can't exist within a crew...the calls need to be consistent... not just for one ref but for the entire crew.. atrocious... and worked out to about a negative 10 points on roos and foul trouble... Not a problem with the refs but with the "crew" of refs. We are athletically superior but are a few notches below on confidence and swagger. We will beat them if we don't get the 20 point jitters in first half.
