Another tough loss.
I don’t understand our rotation , and the lack of minutes for Ngandu and Mukeba. I understand there can be foul issues, but that can’t be the entire reason. At the end of the game during crucial possessions there were 2 nice passes under the basket that weren’t handled. They weren’t easy catches, but Mukeba has softer hands and athleticism to make those plays. And I’d think that Ngandu could have held Morgan far below 30 points.
Can we not find a way to get more minutes for Yulian? He is a unique and talented player that could really help us out?
I’d also love to know the plus-minus stats on our players. I don’t think we have that tracked on their website. Perhaps that stat would help explain things.
Our team and our coaching are very often an enigma.

I'm a ruthless critic of the team, but even I can't find a lot of reason to be angry at the coaches or team where this loss is concerned. They outscored NDSU from the field by NINETEEN POINTS. Complaining about officiating is a loser's strategy, but a 38-14 free throw margin is a sick, sick joke.
I am also confused about the rotation minutes, and for some of the same reasons roos34 is. I will always wonder what kind of PG Olafioye could have been for us, and what Ngandu did to get buried as deep as he is. And the players we choose to give the ball to in crunch situations often make strange, strange decisions. But the coaching staff knows the players better than I do; perhaps something is happening in practice we don't know about, or there are chemistry issues that are invisible to us.
We were told, of winning basketball, "And that is what you shall have". The people who are making the coaching decisions will ultimately be held accountable for them, which is all we can reasonably ask. We outperformed a league-average team on the road, and I'm choosing to see this as a good sign.
Now we'll see what we can do with the conference leaders, who appear to be achieving the sort of turnaround that we've waited long years for.

I feel the same way about Malik at point guard also. He appears to have extreme quickness and athleticism…… perhaps the most on the team. It would have been nice to at least see if he could contribute or be a difference maker this year…..especially with Artese Stapleton being out virtually all year. His talent might have compensated for Freshman mistakes, and paid off for us later in the year. Now we won’t know.

OK.... back from trip. NDSU.. Officiating hack job.. not that we were not fouling... but they were too. We go up quick by 12 in second half... they call fouls 9-0 in six minutes putting them in double bonus at 12 minute mark.. Marv gets a tech for yelling "Need to tighten it up" at his defense.... total Horse hockey... since I cannot cuss on this forum... a joke. Yulian is injured, Malik is injured, both probably not used to this type of grind... they both seem happy when talking to me... Allan thinks he knows everything.. Jeff is a coaching decision where we tilted more towards offense this season... but still a mystery...
