Looking for bright spots at this stage.
We have a lot of physical talent on the roster. We have shooters, size, athleticism, length. I feel like the coaching staff has been one of the best in the school's history on the recruiting front.
We have seen some of the kids come in the door with interesting skill sets. I'm interested in the board's opinion regarding player development. Who do you think is noticeably better now than they were at the beginning of the year? Or, if you prefer, when they entered the program? My pick would be Diallo, but that's not a lot of comfort with him on his way out the door. Is there anyone else who you see developing into a program leader whom we can hang our hats on going forward?

Diallo has been great. Playing Point Guard, defending, distributing, and shooting well!
Ebonkoli and Petty have contributed more than I anticipated.
Andrews has improved like expected….but still seems to have much more potential.

baba much improved, Petty improved, Tyler vastly improved both sides of ball, mukeba backwards.. does not listen to coaches and fouls too much to stay on the floor Jeff not backwards but emphasis on scoring now leaves him alone AK is the same Yulian is gift from heaven KC is killing us in close games Faas defense is atrocious and they want him on the floor because he shoots so well.... but if it aint dropping... he must go.
Our toughnes it not good.... with Baba, Jamar, and Jeff.... maybe Yulian are tough kids.

We just lack a consistent scorer. Faas caught lightning today and we won (Omaha), but when he cant get himself open he is a minus player based on the aforementioned defense. I also think Yulian needs to improve on the defensive side, but he is our best bet of developing a more dynamic scorer, one who is not solely looking for 3-point shots.
Our bigs are solid, but I often feel we would be better off using them to draw the defense in and kick it back out for a open 3 point shot. This occurred today with Mukeba and Faas and was a thing of beauty. Faas does not create his own shots very well and could really benefit from inside-out play with our bigs or dribble drives with someone like Coursesalt.

Everyone is improving on the roster that is 6’6 or under. Mukeba and Jeff have difficulty playing more than 10-15 without fouling or getting tired. All the guards and forwards have cut down on their turnovers and improved their ability to get into the lane and pass to open teammates. Big guys take longer to adjust to D1 ball and score the basketball.

We only have 8 inside out assists for the season with really good shooters... why... well after talking with a big... they are not open.... film review.. true... after tossing it into the paint there is little effort to be a target on the outside... with exception of Jamar (of course) they stand and watch.... even with defenders backs turned..
