They're probably overlooking us. We've got them right where we want them.

I’d imagine they’ll likely be the 2nd-ranked team in the country come Tuesday after Purdue, Marquette, and UConn all went down.

my fantasy of course is for the win.....My fantasies have not ever come true on this.... because with the Mizzou wins... there was a little pain seeing them lose... Bill Self is surely aware of our shooters... Maybe Promise explodes for 12 and 5 ... and Jayson Petty drops 4 3s....... see how hard it is to fantasize!!

Hey, you never know… Eastern Illinois gave them a game a couple nights ago and we’re rated higher than them according to KenPom.

Roos were within 10 with less than 4 minutes to play, but KU pulled away. Faas with a fantastic shooting night that kept us in a reasonable position in the game… including a big 4 point play in the 2nd half.
A slow start had us down around 20 in the first 10 minutes. Shots were not going down, and that’s just a killer against good teams. Again….making it hard on our ourselves.
Roos competed the entire game. Can we pull it all together in Conference?

Our section had a fun time. Lots of ups and downs; Fass and Kopp’s points weren’t surprising (although Faas was unreal tonight), but Coursealt was who really impressed me. You could tell from his time at Chattanooga that he has played in some big games.
With that being said, there were a lot of things that could’ve made an eight-point-game a one-possession game. Fighting for the same rebound and it going out of bounds, struggles inbounding the ball, and too many offensive possessions where we weren’t running anything, just passing it around and eventually chucking up a shot. It looked like they felt more comfortable attacking and running sets in the second half, though.
One other observation: I thought Coach Menzies was a little slow to switch out of the zone. We started out (I believe) in a 2-3 and they lit us up from long range. After some time in man, we tried a 1-3-1 with the same results. We made some good adjustments trying to cover up Dickinson as much as we could, so I’ll give him credit for that.
Lots to be optimistic about… that was the smallest margin of defeat against KU in school history. Let’s build off of this experience and keep rolling into Summit League play.
