Roos down 7, 12-5, with 15:00 remaining in the 1H. Started off nice with a three-point play but are struggling to keep up with the Bears since.

Wow, did not realize that we lead the all-time series versus Baylor (4-3). Beat them in the most recent meeting in 1998.

We’re actually doing a really good job at crashing the boards so far, especially on offense. 14-9 Baylor with 13:28 left in 1H.

A handful of 3pt plays are helping the Bears pull away. 19-11 with 11:39 to go.

We’re not getting the same luck on the glass anymore while Baylor is beginning to heat up. Roos down 13 with 4:00 to go.

This team’s peak last season, with Kopp/Allen/Mitchell, allowed them to stay with teams because they posed a perimeter threat. There’s only so much you can do to hang around in these types of games when the only outside shooting threat tonight is Kopp.
62-40 BU with 16:30 remaining.

I like that we have battled. We would be losing this by 40-50 in the recent past. Our point guard play has been a little underwhelming, and we have given up a lot of open 3’s. Probably a good learning experience for Jamar Brown. We need him to consistently play at a high level to be successful.

The game could’ve gotten away from them much sooner than it did, but I thought they did a good job fighting back early on.

Baylor was making shots, at one point during the 2nd half they were shooting 65% from three. We battled the whole game. They just made shots all night, open shots, contested shots they are a good basketball team. AK made a big enough impression he got the business every time he touched the ball in the 2nd half. Babacar got some late minutes and he looked like the fastest guy on the floor while he was in. Mukeba looks like he could wrestle a bear! Getting some better minutes from the 1 would be huge.

I like this assessment. Baylor is certainly a much better team and had better shooters, but it never looked like we were in a different league in regards to physicality. That was a problem at times last season.

I did not enjoy it that much... I went down there. We have some terrific shooters on this team.... if we cannot penetrate to the paint or throw the ball into the paint, we can't get it to an open shooter... these guys don't get their own shot with exception of 5. Now, Malik should be able to get his own but not considered yet... We have to solve that otherwise the great shooters go to waste.
