Oral Roberts has won 9 straight, and has wins over Missouri State, Liberty, Tulsa, and South Dakota State. They did struggle to win by 3 in Omaha.
Looks like they have 3 starters returning from their final 8 run in the tournament a few years ago, including pro prospect Max Abmas. They also return Isaac McBride ( transfer from Kansas), and added 7’5” Connor Vanover (transfer from Arkansas).
I think we will be competitive if we play with the same effort and defense, and can win if the offense is effective. Will we see Kopp this week? That would boost an offense that has already found a way to play and win without him.

Come on down and watch...I have issued a personal challenge for someone to guard Abmas... the big fella has 50 blocks and does not foul... we need to lure him into fouls... he is drooling watching all the layups we attempt. Street fight, junkyard dog tough down there is only way.

Had to double check the schedule. Come on down means come to Tulsa. Probably not happening, in my case. ORU's return visit to KC is February 4th, also a Saturday night. Go Roos.

Don’t worry ORU fans, the refs are starting to assert themselves

The refs look like serious homers. Or as my dad would say, "They're obviously used car salesmen from Tulsa."

I had to turn it off. Without the horrible refs we win this game.

ORU has more talent, but we were more than up to the challenge. The actions by the refs indicate that the Summit League is heavily invested in ORU’s success this year.

You gotta give Max 6 foot off defense or you will get the foul called

The Roos have a good team, and we may peak in the Conference tournament. We deserved to win this game. 6 points off of technical fouls is hard to overcome in an away game at ORU.
I knew Idiaru could shoot! So nice to see him hit 3 big shots, and build his confidence. He and Tyler Andrews have both gone up a level in their play!!

Well, for the first time in a decade ORU did not out athlete us... the 7-5 guy and the two little guards are more skilled. To be honest, with the one possession at the end Tyler did a good job on abmas...too bad Shemarri's half court at halftime buzzer did not fall...very close Refs... well... marv took it well Promise played the game of his life... hope the other twin gets the idea... freshmen are a lot better and we have come a million miles since Green Bay one short month ago.
