Big road game for our Roos. Good chance to get back in the win column against a struggling UWGB Phoenix team. We beat them last year, hopefully we can sweep the series. Game is on ESPN+.

Defense has been stifling them thus far. Nice start, Roos lead them 4-3.

Roos maintain the lead for much of the first half and lead 30-27 going into the break. Another low-scoring game through 20; the team that can turn it on will win this game.

The Phoenix have pulled ahead and lead 46-49 with 8 mins remaining in the game. Time to make a run…

Roos down 8 until Allen drills a clutch three in the corner. 58-53 GB with 1:22 left in the game.

Another tough offensive outing for KC, Roos lose 70-64 and give Green Bay their second win of the season. Might be the second worst loss of the season behind the D2 Lincoln game.

I watched the replay on ESPN+. Our defense and overall effort appears to keep us in games, but the offense needs a lot of help. AK will improve us quite a bit, but that is the only calvary that is coming from a player standpoint. We can only count on player development for the remainder of the year. The positive way to look at it is that the young guys are getting plenty of playing time to get better for the Conference tournament.
IMO, it looked like Coach was also trying to get some looks at individual players and schemes in this game prior to Conference play, and the win seemed to have less importance.
As I think about how we could get better, I often think how valuable a guy like Evan Gilyard would be on a team like this. He would thrive, and make the talented guys around him better!

My biggest concern is how many of these young players that we're developing are going to go into the transfer portal at the end of the year? I would hope none of them, but there are bound to be a few. Maybe a lot since it looks like we're going to have a horrible record.
I really dislike the transfer rules. I know it's in place because that's what the P5 wanted, so they could conveniently recruit players from the mid majors, but it takes a lot of fun out of the game.

Some of ours have also gone to other mid-majors. Kenny Strawbridge, for example, played at one of the HBCUs, then transferred to Evansville. He currently leads the Purple Aces in scoring at 15.8 pg.

Went to Green Bay to watch.... tough to take when we know we have the better players... stagnant with guys watching RayQ try to dribble and save them... difference... coach was all over that and vowed in his 9 days of practice to work on that
