This one’s for all the marbles. The Flo Sports pass has been worth it the past two days. Time to bring it home!

Bad news to begin the game: Kopp is OUT in an arm sling. #4 Dimou starting in his place.

I just logged in to ask about Kopp. Dang...the UMKC injury curse strikes again. Unless anyone here knows, it appears that everyone (including the announcers) are in the dark regarding his status and how it happened. Looks like his left shoulder/arm… did he re-aggravate his initial injury? Roos have gone cold after missing a dunk via a beautiful entry pass. 18-7 Dunk City with under 12:00 to go in the 1H.

Roos trail 36-23 at the half. About what you could expect when your two best scorers have slow starts and your third scorer is scratched. I liked Menzies putting out a lineup without Allen and Mitchell for several minutes; good learning experience and we were able to cut their lead down to 7 at one point. Let’s see what we can do in the second half.

More of the same in the second half, Roos fall to FGCU 73-59 in the GCS Championship Game. Mitchell caught fire in the second half but it wasn’t enough (tied a Gulf Coast Showcase points record). Just didn’t have it on the offensive end tonight and they were great at moving the ball.

We had a tough time scoring outside of Rayquan and Shemarri. Kopp not playing really hurt us. We will get more scoring production out of the Freshmen as they gain confidence and get used to D1 play.
Ngandu and Mukeba were fun to watch in the middle. We are fortunate to have such skilled big men.
A great tournament run by the Roos!!

Disappointed that we won’t get to raise a banner, but very impressive that we made it this far. Great experience for our young team!

Kopp is important because of his shooting from 3, but his leadership and experience are just as important to this young Roos team! The freshman are improving before conference play!

You could get a sense of Kopp’s leadership by how animated he was on the bench throughout the game. Talking to guys coming off the floor and keeping the energy high on the sidelines as the game went on. Really hope that his injury isn’t anything major.

Kopp getting examined back home... team does a good job of keeping a lid on it all. But it appears to be left arm... that is good is it not?
