Roos need to take care of business tomorrow against a bad Denver team. I was disappointed with our defense against Oral we need to bury a weak opponent.

Roos are 8 point favorites! Need to guard the 3 point line and rebound better than against ORU! Denver has a couple of guys that can shoot and score, but Lamar and Nesbitt should dominate the paint. Gilyard needs to get his 15-20;points.

One of the worst half of Roos basketball this year! Missed a million shots and free throws! Gilyard played selfish and not willing to share the ball or set his teammates up. Down 7 better wake up fast and guard Smith!

Awful loss to a bad team! Denver’s leading scorer is held to a few points and they turn the ball over 26 times! The Roos offense was pathetic from 3 point line, free throws, and missed lay ups! Every team will play zone defense because Martin, Johnson, and Allen will not or can not shoot from outside. Boser is averaging 1 foul for every minute played this home stand. He needs to play since he is 1 of 2 guys over 6’5 who actually plays! Long season is coming with no answers on offense without Josiah.

Allen is 0 for 14 from 3 point line on the season. Not good.

Good summary of the game, KCRooblue. We beat Denver defensively, and we beat ourselves offensively. How can we be so cursed to have injuries to Josiah, Hidde, and apparently Trace Evans?
We need some help offensively, and we can’t magically get more height. Maybe we need to see more of Barnes on the floor? He is quick, can create off the dribble, and appears to have some range. Is Peuser ready for some minutes? I didn’t see either one on the bench, so I assume Covid protocol.

Barnes was on the bench but I did not see Peuser. The Roo tv crew never mentioned Evans as being unable to play. The lack of height will be embarrassing again the big guys from NDSU.

Trying to determine how we could be this bad with our scoring
Shemarri Allen shot 15-43 in 3 point field goals in 25 games at Cowley Juco last year and averaged 11.6 ppg.
Sam Martin was apparently an incredible 3 point shooter in High School based on film. He appears to either be unwilling to shoot or unable to get a shot off in college.
In regards to Evans, he wasn’t dressed versus Denver. I watched him walk off the court, and he appeared to be favoring his foot injury again. I don’t expect Hidde back this year. He still has a limp when he tries to jog off the court as well.

That game made me feel pretty low. We could not figure out a high school zone... miserable for me to watch. We always end up with guys getting shortened careers here due to injury... now almost every post player is out for some reason... discouraging. On the Thursday.
