Per Jake Lieberman, Tegra Izzy, a 6ā10 big, transfer from LaSalle has received interest from Roos and several Juco schools. He played 3 games this year as a sophomore and averaged 1.3 points and 2 rebounds. He played 11 games as a freshman and averaged 1 point a game. He from Canada and looked like he could run and block shots. Not an outside guy, strictly a post guy who can rebound and block shots.
per Twitter page, junior Kayden Fish from K.C. Area Staley high school received a Roo offer. He is a 6ā6 , 205 pound power forward. He has a Lamar built but a couple inches taller. He goes to school with my daughter and I have seen him play several times. He can run, jump, and make an occasional 3 pointer. He plays the 4 in high school. He plays on a very good MoKan AAU team. He has offers from Roos, Southern Illinois, and SIUE.
anyone else have any recruiting news?

I know there is still time for improvement from our big guys, but I think they all could be released except for Josiah, of course.
With J's injury, both Boser and Evans have had ample opportunity to play, but apparently Coach doesn't think they provide any help (and the time they have had on the court proves it). IMO, Boser has not improved from last year. Usually the biggest improvement for players is in season two. I don't see any improvement, especially defensively.
Evans- A recruiting reach and it shows.
Hidde is always injured. Let him get a scholarship being injured somewhere else. If he does get healthy, he will not have played much in 2 or more years. How long will it take for him to get his "game" back into shape? A few games? All season?
The recruit Maker Bar is 6-9 and 190 lbs. He is more a 3 than a post.
I understand these are kids and an honest assessment may hurt their feelings, but it does not seem like they can play at this level. Hidde just can't get healthy enough to play.
We obviously need new "bigs" for next year.

Hidde is a red flag at this point. He played 5 games as a Roo and has been injured over a full year. Evans seems too slow to play more than 5-7 minutes per game. He coaches job is to keep making the team better by adding better players!

I am sure Tegra Izay has a lot of talent, but Iād rather get a college transfer or juco player with a more proven resume. Those stats are concerning, and make me think of our pre-Donlon desperation moves. I would think it would be appealing for a recruit to team up with Allick, cause some havoc, and be a future for the program. I do like what I am hearing about Kayden Fish!
