The best player so far to enter the portal is Taos the 6’9 big from South Dakota. He averaged around 13 points and had 7 rebounds a game. He should be moving to Power 5 league next season. The Roos have only lost Sam Martin as far. It will be interesting to see if several all conference players leave for bigger conferences. My guess it will be mostly bench players moving down to D2 level. Any thoughts or rumors?

Most would be guys moving to Division 2, 3, and NAIA... I watched a guy from Omaha last year in a game today... he was a bench player on a good NAIA team.... there are hundreds of guys in the portal that never find a home of any kind.... big secret

St. Thomas G Andrew Rohde has entered the transfer portal. He was the Summit League freshman player of the year and averaged 17 points a game. Huge loss for the league and St. Thomas. More to come, I am sure.

The last 6 consecutive freshman of the year in the Summit League have now all transferred to large conferences once Rohde signs. This will continue to happen at the low and mid major levels with it being so easy to transfer without sitting out a year.

Josiah Allick entered the transfer portal. I would guess that he wants to go to Nebraska.

A.J. PLITZUWEIT Has entered the portal from South Dakota. High scoring guard and 3 point shooter with unlimited range. He averaged 11 points last year after missed a season after a serious knee injury. His mother was the woman’s basketball coach at South Dakota until last season. One of the best shooter in the Summit League.

A third player/ starter from South Dakota is finishing school and not returning next year. Kruz Perot-Hunt has started every game the last 3 years for the Yotes and averaged over 14 points a game this season. He is planning on playing basketball professionally overseas. The Yore’s have been the hardest hit in players leaving after this season in The Summit League. They have now lost their top 3 scorers from this season which averaged just over 38 points a game. I look for them to take a couple steps back next season in the rankings.

McKinney and Farr are both KC area kids. I see lots of these guys moving down to D2. I am curious if the Roos go after an experienced point guard from the portal. Thanks for the list roos34!

Mad Max to the transfer portal is a game changer! 350 + teams want him. His NIL deals will be impressive. Which blue blood will he end up signing with. My guess is Duke or Kentucky!

No kidding… this changes everything. If we can keep our team intact and our young guys can make big strides this off-season, we can absolutely contend for the Summit League.

EMMANOUIL DIMOU has entered the transfer portal from the Roos. He was a freshman guard that played sparingly throughout the season and did not consistently make many outside shots. He did not seem to an answer at point guard late is the season when the team had a couple of starters out with injuries. Good luck to him in the future and the team now has another open scholarship spot. Reactions?

Logan Mukeba redshirt freshman has entered the transfer portal. Younger brother Allen who was a major player for the Roos. 3 guards have now left since the season ended, however they were all bench players who did not play much. The question is now will all the young big players stay.

Wishing the best to Dimou. Would have liked to have seen him more. Unfortunately, we never got to see Logan on the court. Hoping he finds success also!!
Really hoping this doesnt mean that Allen Mukeba is leaving. That would be a monstrous loss for our team as we likely couldn't find an equivalent replacement for him.
Guessing that we have 5 open scholarships thus far: Transfers: Sam Martin, Dimou, Logan Mukeba
Covid Year (Doesnt count against scholarship limit): Shemarri Allen Rayquan Mitchell - Ray is also looking at his professional potential this Spring/Summer.
We had some walk-ons that may be getting scholarships so that we can keep them.
