Hopefully the guys that are walk-ons stay walk-ons if they remain a roo... this could give us 6 or 7 more guys to come... This will probably take until August to get completed... maybe not the caliber of player we can get in the future... for UMKC 7 coaches since 1994. So every 4 years or so, we gotta have a bad recruiting year to retool and allow the new guy his time... That is 7 throwaway years out of the last 28. It is no wonder we have not had any traction... best transition was when we hired the assistant coach in Rich Zvosec.... maybe this year will be the exception. Menzies, however, is the only guy with real recruiting bona fides.

Who gets the remaining scholarships? Transfers, maybe. But it also appears the Roos are still looking at some high school Class of '22 prospects.
I assume offers are still on the table for RJ Moore, a sg from NYC and Tombe Pitia, a 6-8 forward from Canada (African born?). Both are also being pursued by Bethune-Cookman. Looks like someone might get them as a package.
Then there's Olathe native Antwaun Massey (6-9), who did a year of prep school.
In the Class of '23, the Roos are competing with multiple MVC schools for 6-6 Kayden Fish of Staley H.S.
If Coach Menzies can close these deals, he'll have a team with some size. I am optimistic.

With the dumpster fire that is burning out of control is Evansville, there may be some available players if the NCAA gives them a waiver.

Is it time to start worrying about the lack of signings?

I would give it a week because most in the transfer portal are finishing the semester or graduating from their old schools. By the end of May it is too late. The last week it has picked up for players in the portal especially with guys committing to D2 schools.
